Work we carry out is backed by a 20 year written guarantee — a document you keep, not a promise on the phone.
What it is
When we finish a job, we hand over a written guarantee for the work we have carried out. It runs for 20 years and states the address, the work done and what is covered. Keep it with your house documents — it is also useful if you sell.
We have been trading for twenty years. We would rather put our commitment in writing than ask you to take it on trust.
What to check in any roofing guarantee
- It is in writing and names your property
- It describes the work it applies to
- It states how long it lasts
- It sets out any conditions — for example, damage caused by others or by extreme events
- It tells you how to make a claim
Why a guarantee only means something with good workmanship
A guarantee is the back-stop. What actually keeps a roof dry is doing the job properly: matching the tile profile, fixing to BS 5534, using the right code of lead and making sure water can get off the roof. That is how we work, and that is why we can put a long guarantee in writing.
